Halo Reach or Black Ops at next LAN?

Australia Day... A time to reflect on our great nation and pwn nubs. GoSolid will be holding an semi casual LAN on Australia Day. You get to decide what we'll be playing! Cast a vote and voice you requests.

Date: 26th Jan Australia Day Wednesday.
Time: 11am - 8pm.
Cost: $25
Bring your own Xbox, game, controller, Power brick, Xbox to VGA cable, Xbox to HD cable. 
MADMAN prizes giveaway. Maybe some cash too...
Caped at 56 places.
Casual gaming on the day. BOps 4v4 main event  + Reach 2v2.  Anything else on your mind?

Official Lan post is being made and will be out with all the info and links as usual. if you have any questions in the mean time post here.

UPDATE!

Australia Day Lan will be held at a new venue in the CBD. Full details in the next few days.

most people have a problem with the date, being Australia day.

and inter state players having problem with short notice.

If I were to suggest different date I'd say Feb  6th.
it's the first weekend after school holidays end, so people shouldnt be burried in Homework, and that would be a long enough notice for interstaters, and it being not School holidays, tickets + accomodation would be cheaper.

a lot of women complaining here. Australia day = public holiday = more ppl available to play. 
LAN is for the hardcore. if youd prefer to be @ a bbq then GoSolid is not for you... Go home.

As stated on the event page this is a semi casual event. Dont stress if you cant make it. Were not going anywhere, we'll have another eventually.  I dont expect interstate peeps to come down for a days worth of gaming during the week. This event is for the locals and GoSolid regulars.

yeah thats all cool Roman, I don't get it people are way over reacting, there reacting the way I would expect people to if you made it on Christmas or on new years or something, dunno thats just me maybe since Australia has never been a very big thing for me, just another reason to get pissed.

just hoping theres enough intrest for the event to happen.

also do you know when abouts it will be decided which game will be chosen at which venue, so teams can start being formed?

We are planing to go from old to new. From sometimes to fixed dates and to more. We want everyone to look forward to the next GoSolid and to the time they will SEE their mates from XBOX Live.

So if you mis this one, don't worry, plenty more on the way..hopefully :)
